WE NEED YOUR HELP.
OUR CHILDREN, AND INDEED ALL OF US, WILL NEED CAMP THIS SUMMER MORE THAN EVER BEFORE.

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, I made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend operations at Incarnation on March 13th. While this decision was relatively straightforward given the current health crisis, it comes with significant financial challenges. I am writing to you now as your help is needed urgently to support our efforts to ensure Incarnation’s future.

Considering the Conference and vacation camp cancellations, the loss of revenue from the absence of Nature’s Classroom and Bushy Hill school groups, and the closure of Nature’s Playground Afterschool, we stand to lose nearly $1,000,000 in revenue over the next eight weeks. This is catastrophic in terms of being able to continue to pay our 30 full-time employees, maintain the facility, and meet recurring financial obligations.

Many of you may remember our last significant time of need. Our dam burst in 1982 and the challenge at that time was to raise $1,000,000 to rebuild in order to save the camp.

IT IS TIME, ONCE AGAIN, TO “GIVE A DAM.”

We need your financial support. I am asking you to think about how camp has changed your life, whether as a guest, camper, or student. I am asking for you to help me ensure that many more adults and children will be able to experience our life-changing programs and benefit from time spent in nature on our beautiful campus, just as you or your children have.

We look forward to reopening in time for our summer programs. Our children, and indeed all of us, will need Camp this summer more than ever before. As we keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers, please keep camp, our staff and their families in yours. We’ve faced challenges before and you’ve helped us rise to the occasion. I’m confident with your help, we will rise again.
